GEORGE BRUNER
For a talk and booksigning with his books Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and The Byrd ~ Celebrating the Byrd Theatre George Bruner authored Celebrating 100 Years ~ A Journey in Faith, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The elegance and history of the Byrd Theatre led him and his teammates to create a sequel in honor of the magnificent movie palace. George retired in a career in marketing management at Bell Atlantic Corporation, now Verizon. He then formed Bruner and Associates, an association management and meeting professionals company. After 15 years he once again retired to pursue his love of writing books having historical significance. George has served on the Kanawha Canal Restoration, Flood Wall Dedication, Richmond Flag, James River Advisory and other historic civic committees.
