Harry Baldwin has served in not-for-profit continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) as well as for-profit assisted living communities and nursing homes. He learned a great deal while working at Westminster-Canterbury Richmond, Lakewood Manor, and Goodwin House Alexandria. He entered graduate school at MCV – now VCU Health Care – and obtained a Masters of Science in Gerontology. His field of concentration in Gerontology was Psycho-gerontology. This concentration worked well with his undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Richmond in 1973. His long-term career touched the “for-profit” communities where he learned “the hard way” that senior management concentrated on financial performance, resident census, and expense control. He blended this for-profit experience with his business background as an owner of a wholesale textile distributorship for 12 years with his wife, Jeannie. 

There are two other common threads about Harry Baldwin. First is his appreciation for veterans and their military service/sacrifice to America. Second, as a punster, Harry Baldwin appreciates jokes, humor, laughing, and a sincere smile.
