Kate Chenery Tweedy is the daughter of Penny Chenery, owner of Secretariat. She was a college student at her mother's side when Secretariat was blazing through his racing career. Kate lives in Ashland Virginia, where she enjoys promoting the legacy of Secretariat.

Leeanne Meadows Ladin is an award-winning author, historian and speaker. She created and managed the original Secretariat Birthplace Tours at The Meadow for several years and is a founding member of Secretariat For Virginia, which brought Virginia's first Secretariat monument to Ashland.
