R. Morgan Armstrong

ABOUT THE AUTHOR​

R. Morgan Armstrong, a retired General District Court judge, now resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains of central Virginia with his wife, Jo Ann, and their yellow lab, Bailey. He is a member of the VMI Class of 1970, earned a B.A. degree from Duke University and his J. D. degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. He was a Virginia prosecutor for 9 1/2 years, an attorney in general practice with his brother for 12 years. Armstrong served as a General District Court Judge for the Counties of Henry and Patrick and the City of Martinsville from 1995 - 2012. He has been a ski patroller for Wintergreen Ski Resort for 40 years, trains patrollers, was on the national board of the National Ski Patrol for two terms and inducted into the NSP Hall of Fame in 2019. While a judge, he wrote the Unauthorized Practice of Law Section of the District Court Judges Bench Book for the Office of Executive Secretary, Supreme Court of Virginia. His latest novel is a mystery, A Serving of  Deceit.
